HP Embedded Capture is a Document Capture solution to ease hardcopy digitization from HP High-End Multifunction and Scanjet devices. As its own name says, HP EC is a server-less solution which runs inside the device extending its digital sending capabilities beyond what comes in the box; therefore, this solution is very convenient for decentralized/branch offices environments with little or no IT resources in place. Solution is extremely flexible; permanent scan distributions can be defined and deployed to the devices or can also be generated on demand via our TWAIN driver or directly from a Line of Business application through an API. With HP EC many information can be collected from the scan process (device, user credentials, scan results) as well as information provided by end-user through the control panel. This information can be validated against regular expressions and decisions can be triggered based on their values.
